Cause it doesn’t get that

Green, yellow, and red. Your BMW thinks it’s a traffic light.

It must be broken, you can give it to me

I’ve actually been averaging that on my new commute (up from 15-16) now that it’s mostly highly from 55-80 mph.

lol I don’t think I saw close to that on the highway when I had mine.

Look on the bright side, you've got plenty of gas!

Running a bit warm aren’t ya? I don’t know the regular water temp of an M3 but that seems high.
I don't know what the lights mean.

Stop! Go directly to your nearest BMW service center, do not pass G, do not collect $200.

That’s what it doesn’t get, I get 14-15 around town and 16-18 on the highway. I’ve gotten 20 twice in the two years I’ve had it, so there’s no way the average is 19.

That’s actually the oil temp, it’s usually right around 210, might have been about 215 cause it was 95 out today.

I don’t get that, I guess the car is trying to convince me that we get that, we don’t. I just filled up today and went 184 miles on 12 gallons for 15 mpg.

Derp indeed it is. Hence the oil pan symbol.

The quickest way to convert subtract by 30, then divide by 2.

Meh, it’s not that bad, least it’s not +100 (~38ish) out

I am curious to know what the coolant temp is though.

With M on, I am lucky to get 12!
I am not sure mine has ever seen 20...well...my dad did drive it once in NC when I was asleep in the passenger seat. That’d be the only time it’d have been possible!

It’s not broken, just thirster than it claims.

I always drive with M mode on, I bought an M3 not a Prius. The worst I’ve ever gotten was 13.9 mpg. I do the math every tank.

Ha! I put M on when I have open road or light traffic, otherwise I am seriously burning gas sitting in Maryland traffic...for hours....
Speaking of which...it needs to stop raining here so I can wash this beast.

Tack on another 3C for heat index.

I drove my 4Runner a couple of times last week, and I checked my fuel gauge at one point and thought the same thing. Then I remembered I wasn’t in the FiST, and the 4Runner needs gas like every 3-4 days. The FiST can go a week and a half on 5 less gallons.

I know that it's a little optimistic (.5 mpg or so), but not that much!

I used to work in the Eagle Ford shale, I’m glad I’m out of that heat
